In 1970, Chef Bruno Orsi and Lorenzo Petroni started the North Beach Restaurant and vowed to serve the finest Cucina Toscana possible. We still do. We make our own gnocchi, ravioli, cannelloni, etc. We are world renowned for our prosciutto which we cure the old fashioned way in the restaurant. Many of our customers request a guided tour of the prosciutto room to view the curing process for themselves. We are always happy to oblige them. We buy the freshest fish, the best veal, poultry, beef and lamb and we have one of the most diversified and extensive menus on the west coast. We personify the old from the “Bella Toscana”, like “Farro” from Garfagnana, “Farinata” from Lucca and “Pollo al Mattone” from Montecatini. The Wine Spectator said that we have one of the best 100 wine lists in America. Come and see our “Wine Cellar” available for banquets and great celebrations. Our “Wine Cellar” can be reserved for groups up to 100. Out “Cigar Room” will accommodate parties of up to 20 guests. A covered reservation in our “Prosciutto Room” is available for groups up to 26 guests. After so many years at our location, we are a must visit for many celebrities, athletes, and politicos. It is not uncommon to find yourself seated next to someone you admire.
Lunch in North Beach. Although open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, our lunch offers a unique opportunity to try some new dishes in a relaxed setting at lower prices.
